What does your dream life look like?
Would you have a higher paying career? Have more clients? A bigger house? A nicer car? A healthier body?
Would you feel more confident? Energized? Creative?
Take a moment to think about what you want.
Now, what is stopping you from getting what you want?
Why don't you already have it?
For most people... we have the same answer...
You know, like the belief, "I'm not good enough."
How often does that type of belief roll through your mind? Most people will experience it numerous times throughout the day.
And thoughts create feelings, and those feelings affect the actions we take... therefore affecting the results we get.
Where did that pesky negative programming come from?
The subconscious mind is programmed between ages 0-7 by the authority figures (parents, teachers, etc.) in our lives, events that happened and our interpretation of those events.
Our interpretation- the story we tell ourselves- will form a belief and this belief will play out in our lives... for the rest of our lives.
How much is the belief, "I'm not good enough," holding you back?
What can you do to remove the negative beliefs from your mind, and replace them with something positive?
In the video below, I will provide two things you can start doing today, to help yourself start to overcome the limited internal programming that is holding you back.
1. Become aware of the negative repetitive thoughts: get out a pen and paper and write them down. Keep writing as many as come to mind. The negative thoughts are an indicator of which type of limiting beliefs you have.
Writing them down helps to bring them to your awareness. Once something is in your awareness... you have the power to heal it and alter it.
2. Become aware of what triggers those unwanted thoughts: do they happen most frequently when you look in the mirror? Are they occurring on your way to work? While at work? What thoughts go through your mind when you get home at the end of a long day?
What about when you're stressed? Hungry? Tired?
Again, awareness is key, here. Being aware of the triggers will help you to get better insight into what is happening internally and which beliefs are getting in your way.
Awareness is the first step.
The next article will tell you steps 3 & 4 to help you overcome the internal programming that is holding you back from the things you want.
